At St Stephens CP School we recognise the importance of allowing children to explore the world around them. We provide an outdoor environment that encourages the natural curiosity in children and enables them to experience the fascinating world around them.
Children at our school are able to build confidence through decision making and assessing risks, while taking a lead role in their learning; whether it be exploring plants, animals or everyday natural phenomenons. Providing the opportunity to learn outdoors enables children to succeed in an alternative environment and gain respect for our natural world. We hope to provide children with knowledge about the wider world, learning about different plants, tree’s and living creatures.
The Subject Leader for Outdoor Learning is Mrs T Brandon.
